Florida Gang Rape by 14 Suspected Illegal Aliens Ignored by the Media

It's outrageous!  The article below describes a gang rape in Naples, FL perpetrated by 14 suspected illegal aliens.   Even the Naples News describes the rapists as "14 Immokalee men" and fails to even mention they are suspected of being illegal aliens.  Both the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel completely ignored the story as their Florida News section only has an article about "Immigrants find English sometimes a third - or fourth - language."

This story and other negative impacts of illegal immigration are typically ignored by the newspapers. The only known coverage of the gang rape was Naples News, a Naples television station and http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=46655

Citizens should be rightly outraged not only the rape but by media's suppression of the story. The Miami Herald's State Editor stated "The Herald does not have enough staff to cover Naples."  However, the Miami Herald certainly has enough staff to publish all of their other pro-illegal immigration articles.  Unfortunately most other newspapers handle the negative aspects of illegal immigration in a similar manner.

In a citizen's call to the Collier County Sheriff Department a Commander stated none of the rapists had any identification and the individuals are being held without bond.  Due to well-known computer problems the Department of Homeland (In)Security has yet to determine their immigration status.  ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) will determine whether the individuals are eventually deported.

Given the failure of Department of Homeland (In)Security to enforce immigration laws, citizens will be lucky if the rapists are eventually deported.

Folks, this bias by Florida's pro-illegal immigration newspapers must be challenged.  If the rape had been done by citizens the media would be all over the story and would not let it drop, but if it's done by suspected illegal aliens the story is quietly ignored.

Because newspapers are so biased against reporting the criminal activities by suspected illegal aliens you should consider getting your immigration news from the Internet.  Worthwhile sites are:

14 Immokalee men arrested in weekend sexual battery

By Daily News staff
October 3, 2005

Fourteen Immokalee men have been arrested on suspicion of sexual battery after authorities said an 18-year-old woman was kidnapped, battered and sexually assaulted this weekend.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to an undisclosed location on the report of a sexual battery with multiple suspects. Deputies determined that the victim was sleeping, then answered a knock at her door at about 4 a.m. Saturday.

Several men grabbed her and forcefully brought her to a home at 827 Rebecca Drive. More men were inside the home when they arrived at the Rebecca address with the victim, authorities said.

The woman was choked and battered, then blacked out. When she regained consciousness, one man was plugging her nose while another man was pouring alcohol into her mouth, deputies said.

The Sheriff's Office said several men restrained the woman as she was sexually assaulted.

The woman then was pushed out the home's front door and went to another location to call the Sheriff's Office. She was hospitalized for treatment of her injuries.

The men were arrested and ordered by a judge to be held without bond. Each was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery with multiple perpetrators and kidnapping false imprisonment charges.

They were identified as Mario Lopez Luis, 19, Herman Sanchez Salas, 28, Ovidio Lopez Funez, 19, Napoleon Perez Lopez, 29, Edwin Albaladego Rivera, 28, Ermitanio Lopez Salas, 18, Isreal Santiago, 56, Rolando Perez Claudio, 23, Alvarado Perez Luis, 21, Augusto Perez Lopez, 32, Cesar Perez Lopez, 29, Gabino Garcia Godinez, 24 and Augusto Garcia Velasquez, 30, all of 827 Rebecca Drive, and Rene Perezgarcia, 22, of 823 Rebecca Drive.
